Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adults aged 20-40 years, both males and females; 2. Weight stability determined by volunteer reports (less than or equal to 5% over the past 5 months); 3. Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18.5-25.0 kg/m²;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Evidence of metabolic or cardiovascular diseases reported by volunteers, or diseases that may affect metabolism (e.g., cancer, diabetes, thyroid disorders); 2. Reported use of any prescription medications or other substances that may affect metabolism (e.g., diet/weight loss drugs, asthma medications, blood pressure medications, psychiatric medications, corticosteroids, antibiotics, or other drugs) in the past week; 3. Women in the preconception, pregnancy, or breastfeeding stages as reported by volunteers; 4. Participation in a regular exercise program as reported by volunteers (more than 2 hours of vigorous activity per week); 5. Volunteers with a history of anemia, severe hypoglycemia, vasovagal syncope, or needle phobia; 6. Caffeine intake greater than 300 mg/day as reported by volunteers; 7. Regular use of alcohol (more than 2 drinks per day), tobacco (smoking or chewing), amphetamines, cocaine, heroin, or marijuana in the past 1-2 months as reported by volunteers; 8. Psychological conditions reported by volunteers, such as (but not limited to) eating disorders, clinical depression, or bipolar disorder; 9. Volunteers with strict dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarianism or religious reasons, food allergies); 10. Volunteers with a reported history of carrying infectious diseases; 11. Volunteers unwilling or unable to provide informed consent.
