Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1)Children who were hospitalized in the Pediatric Neurology Ward of Peking University First Hospital from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2024. (2) Children diagnosed with infantile spasms (meeting the 2022 ILAE diagnostic criteria for infantile epileptic spasms syndrome). (3) The age of onset is no more than 24 months. (4) The patient received intravenous infusion of ACTH treatment for the first time, and there were still convulsive seizures and highly irregular EEG manifestations at the beginning of the treatment. (5) Have EEG examination reports within 2 months before treatment and 3 months after treatment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Those who received intravenous ACTH treatment for the first time and had received intramuscular ACTH treatment. (2) Those who received ACTH treatment for the first time and were treated with amhexenoic acid (VGB) at the same time (except for those who received amhexenoic acid (VGB) treatment after the initial ACTH treatment). (3) Those who have used VGB within one month before using ACTH. (4) Those who have previously received treatment with ACTH and other corticosteroids.
