Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Inclusion criteria for patients with severe periodontitis complicated with coronary heart disease: a. Age range: 18 to 80 years old; The number of teeth remaining in the mouth is =20; b. At least two teeth in the entire mouth meet the following conditions: Probing depth (PD) =6 mm, Clinical attachment loss (CAL) at the most severe proximal site =5 mm, and imaging alveolar bone resorption to 1/3 or more of the root; c. The number of places with attachment loss and bone defects throughout the mouth shall be no less than 30%. d. Patients clinically diagnosed with coronary heart disease have had their conditions stabilized after consultation in the cardiology department of a general hospital. (2) Inclusion criteria for patients with severe periodontitis: a. Age range: 18 to 80 years old; The number of teeth remaining in the mouth is =20; b. Good oral hygiene condition, no history or symptoms of periodontal disease, the depth of periodontal pocket probing does not exceed 3mm, and the proportion of bleeding sites (+) on probing does not exceed 10%. c. Patients clinically diagnosed with coronary heart disease have had their conditions stabilized after consultation in the cardiology department of a general hospital. (4) Inclusion criteria for individuals with overall health: a. Age range: 18 to 80 years old; The number of teeth remaining in the mouth is =20; b. Good oral hygiene condition, no history or symptoms of periodontal disease, the depth of periodontal pocket probing does not exceed 3mm, and the proportion of bleeding sites (+) on probing does not exceed 10%. c. Does not have any confirmed systemic diseases

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Received periodontal treatment within the past six months; b. Suffering from osteoporosis, immune deficiency, gastrointestinal diseases, blood disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, infectious diseases, malignant tumors and other diseases, or having other serious oral diseases, uncontrolled metabolic diseases; c. Pregnancy or lactation period; d. Use of antibiotics within the past three months; e. Use tobacco products; f. Special dietary preferences.
