diet group:Participants received standardized PDM health education.

exercise group:Participants received standardized PDM health education.
Participants received pedometers and resistance bands, with the protocol mandating aerobic exercise consisting of brisk walking
diet + exercise group:Health education was provided, and intervention measures were received from both the diet group and the exercise group.
control group:Participants received standardized PDM health education covering etiology, health risks, diagnostic criteria, preventive strategies, and management approaches at baseline.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (i) individuals aged >= 40 years and diagnosed with PDM; (ii) intact cognitive function and verbal communication capacity; (iii) voluntary participation with informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (i) confirmed DM diagnosis; (ii) physical mobility impairments; (iii) severe cardiovascular, hepatic, or renal comorbidities; (iv) pregnancy or lactation; (v) recent use of medications known to influence glucose metabolism within the preceding three months, such as antibiotics, glucocorticoids, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
