Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria for WHO Grade I-II Glioma Group: 1. Patients undergoing surgical treatment for a primary glioma for the first time, with a pathological diagnosis confirming WHO Grade I-II glioma. 2. Patients with no history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy prior to surgery. 3. Patients with complete clinical and laboratory data. 4. Patients without other systemic diseases that may affect salivary composition. 5. Patients without concurrent central nervous system tumors, metastatic brain tumors, severe physical diseases, or mental disorders. 6. Patients or their guardians/legal representatives voluntarily agree to participate in the study and sign the informed consent form. Inclusion Criteria for WHO Grade III-IV Glioma Group: 1. Patients undergoing surgical treatment for a primary glioma for the first time, with a pathological diagnosis confirming WHO Grade III-IV glioma. 2. Patients matched in age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) with the WHO Grade I-II glioma group. 3. Patients with no history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy prior to surgery. 4. Patients with complete clinical and laboratory data. 5. Patients without other systemic diseases that may affect salivary composition. 6. Patients without concurrent central nervous system tumors, metastatic brain tumors, severe physical diseases, or mental disorders. 7. Patients or their guardians/legal representatives voluntarily agree to participate in the study and sign the informed consent form. Inclusion Criteria for the Healthy Control Group 1. Participants matched in age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) with the WHO Grade I-II glioma group. 2. Participants with normal routine laboratory test results (including blood, stool, and saliva) and no evidence of primary or metastatic brain tumors on cranial CT examination. 3. Participants with complete clinical and laboratory data. 4. Participants without other systemic diseases that may affect salivary composition. 5. Participants without severe physical diseases or mental disorders. 6. Participants or their guardians/legal representatives voluntarily agree to participate in the study and sign the informed consent form. Inclusion Criteria for the Meningioma Group 1. Participants matched in age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) with the WHO Grade I-II glioma group. 2. Patients undergoing surgical treatment for a primary meningioma for the first time, with a pathological diagnosis confirming meningioma. 3. Patients with no history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy prior to surgery. 4. Patients with complete clinical and laboratory data. 5. Patients without other systemic diseases that may affect salivary composition. 6. Patients without concurrent central nervous system tumors, metastatic brain tumors, severe physical diseases, or mental disorders. 7. Patients or their guardians/legal representatives voluntarily agree to participate in the study and sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants diagnosed with other central nervous system tumors or metastatic brain tumors. 2. Participants diagnosed with systemic diseases that may affect salivary composition, such as kidney disease, urinary tract infections, liver disease, or metabolic disorders. 3. Participants who have used medications in the past month that could affect microbial composition, protein, or metabolite levels, such as antibiotics, immunosuppressants, antiepileptic drugs, or diuretics. 4. Participants unable to provide a complete and reliable saliva sample or whose saliva sample does not meet quality standards. 5. Participants deemed unsuitable for the study by the researchers due to significant complications, a history of severe drug allergies, or other relevant conditions. 6. Participants with incomplete clinical information.
