Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Case group: 1.Determine the age range for males over 40 years of age. 2.Meets the diagnostic criteria for BPH in the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Urological and Andrological Diseases (2019 Edition). 3.Data such as baseline prostate volume (PV) and residual urine volume (PVR) over a 3-month period are available. 4.Six sex hormones, PSA, urine routine, and urine culture data within 3 months. Control group: 1. Determine the age range for males over 40 years old. 2. Physically healthy, with no major surgery or chronic medical history (including BPH), and a regular diet and lifestyle. 3.Data such as baseline prostate volume (PV) and residual urine volume (PVR) over a 3-month period are available. 4.Six sex hormones, PSA, urine routine, and urine culture data within 3 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Recent (within three months) use of antibiotics, probiotics, intestinal biologics, etc. 2.Clinical data such as baseline PV, PVR, six sex hormones, and PSA are missing. 3.Have urologic tumors or a history of previous surgery for urologic tumors. 4.Have a chronic disease such as chronic kidney disease or hepatitis, cirrhosis. 5.Recent urinary tract infection, anatomical abnormalities of the urinary tract.
