Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult diabetic patients who were hospitalized at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2024 and underwent general anesthesia surgery, and whose glycated hemoglobin levels were tested within three months before the surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with moderate to severe anemia ( Hb = 9 mg / dl ). 2. Patients with hemoglobinopathy ( hemoglobin variants and thalassemia ); 3. Patients who received blood transfusion before surgery ( within three months ); 4. underwent cardiac or obstetric surgery.
