VBT:A single set of squats performed to a 10% or 20% velocity loss, or no intervention.
PBT:A single set of 4 or 6 squats, or no intervention.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: At least two years of strength training experience, able to squat a load of at least 1.5 times body weight, and no lower-limb injuries in the past three months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants are excluded if they have experienced a lower-limb injury within the past three months, have any condition affecting the autonomic nervous system (e.g., cardiovascular disease, diabetes), have a recent injury or severe migraine or other contraindication, have ingested caffeine within 12 hours prior to data collection, or have engaged in vigorous physical activity within the 48 hours before the experiment.
