Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: PDR sample collection: Experimental group: Only after being examined by 2 to 3 experienced ophthalmologists specializing in retinal diseases and having a clear diagnosis and staging can they be enrolled. The research subjects were patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with DR who underwent vitrectomy. Control group: Non-diabetic patients with simple rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, idiopathic macular hole and idiopathic epiretinal membrane and other diseases diagnosed by ophthalmologists specializing in retinal diseases, and who underwent vitrectomy. NPDR sample collection: Experimental group: Patients diagnosed with NPDR by fundus examination, over 18 years old, and planned to undergo cataract surgery. Control group: Patients with no abnormalities found in fundus examination, over 18 years old, and planned for cataract surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a previous history of uveitis, glaucoma, optic neuropathy, high myopia, other retinal diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and infectious diseases.
