Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Signed informed consent and related ethical documents, and age >=18 years; 2. Intraoperative frozen section and postoperative pathological examination confirming PTC; 3. Specimen confirmed by two pathology experts, with cancer cell content in tumor tissue >70%, and no cancerous lesions in adjacent normal tissue; 4. Complete clinical data available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Other types of thyroid cancer; 2. Mixed-type thyroid cancer (i.e., containing two or more types of thyroid cancer); 3. History of previous neck surgery; 4. History of prior neck radiation or iodine-131 treatment; 5. History of benign thyroid disease; 6. History of other malignancies; 7. Family history of thyroid disease.
