Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patients were 1. aged >=18 years; 2. met the indications for prone mechanical ventilation, and the duration of each prone position was >=12h; 3.had already been on prone mechanical ventilation for >=24h at the time of admission to the ICU; 4. the expected duration of prone mechanical ventilation was >=48h; and 5. obtained the consent of the patients or their family members to participate in this study voluntarily.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.There are contraindications to prone position, including face/neck trauma or unfixed spine; recent open thoracic or open abdominal surgery; large-area burns; elevated intracranial pressure; hemoptysis; high-risk patients requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation or defibrillation, and contraindications to medical prescriptions, etc.; 2.patients who do not cooperate with the treatment or do not comply with the positional care; 3.the collection of condition data and observation indexes is incomplete and affects the analysis of the patients; 4.the patients who are also participating in other similar studies.
