Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Meets the relevant diagnostic criteria of the Chinese T2DM prevention and treatment guidelines; 2.Men aged 18-44; 3. Never used metformin or have stopped using metformin for more than 6 months; 4. Meets the indications for medication treatment, actively cooperates with research work, accepts relevant questionnaire surveys and follow-up; 5. Be informed of the research content and sign an informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Poor compliance (those who did not follow the prescription for treatment during the study period); 2. Combined acute complications such as ketoacidosis; 3.Severe functional impairment of important organs (liver function impairment, defined as ALT or AST>3 times; renal function impairment, defined as creatinine level = 1.5 times the normal range; or estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)<45mL/min/1.73m ²); 4. Complicated with malignant tumor, blood disease, acute and chronic infectious disease, autoimmune disease, thrombotic disease and mental system disease; 5. Azoospermia; 6. Taking antiepileptic or anti-tumor drugs that hinder sperm production and motility, or taking sulfonamide, cyclohexanone acetate, fluoroamine, cimetidine, spironolactone, and any drugs that clearly affect sperm production; 7. Congenital malformation, obstruction of sperm channels, or testicular atrophy. 8. Epididymitis, orchitis, or moderate to severe prostatitis; 9. Difficulty ejaculating through masturbation.
