Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Children aged 3-8 years with no history of spontaneous or nocturnal pain; (2) The child's primary molars had deep caries with ICDAS score of 4-5, no percussion pain, no loosening, and no abnormality in the surrounding gingiva. (3) X-ray examination showed that the depth of caries reached 1/3 or 1/4 proximal pulp of dentin, the space of periroot membrane was normal, and there was no abnormal periapical and root junction, no root internal or external resorption, and no root canal calcification. (4) Good general health, cooperation during treatment, and informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) History of spontaneous pulpitis pain; (2) Gingival fistula or swelling; (3) Tooth loosening or percussion pain; (4) Periapical lesions or root resorption on X-ray examination; (5) Non-cooperation or refusal to participate in the treatment.
