Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: >=60 years old. 2. Hearing assessment: Case group: Hearing loss (average pure-tone air conduction threshold (PTA) at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 kHz>=25 dBHL). Control group: Normal hearing (pure-tone audiometry shows average threshold < 25 dB HL). 3. Voluntary participation with signed informed consent and ability to cooperate in completing the tests
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of definite otitis media, Meniere's disease, sudden deafness, noise-induced hearing loss, or other ear diseases. 2. Presence of active infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, history of malignant tumors, or currently undergoing anti-tumor therapy. 3. Use of medications that may affect inflammatory factor levels within the past 3 months. 4. Contraindications to blood draw (e.g., hemophobia, needle phobia, coagulation disorders, severe anemia, etc.).
