Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for plantar fasciitis with a disease duration of >=1 month; 2. Patients who have an average daily heel pain intensity of >=40 mm on the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) during the course of the disease up to the time of consultation; 3. Patients aged between 18 and 75 years; 4. Patients who are mentally alert, without mental disorders, and without severe cardiovascular, hepatic, or renal diseases; 5. Patients who have signed the informed consent form and voluntarily participate in this trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of calcaneal tuberosity fracture, calcaneal stress fracture, calcaneal contusion, plantar fascia rupture, or plantar fasciitis; 2. History of ankle or foot surgery; 3. Achilles enthesopathy, tarsal tunnel syndrome, medial calcaneal nerve entrapment, or nerve injury; 4. Systemic or localized infection, severe heel fissures; 5. Systemic diseases (ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative arthritis, malignancy); 6. Cognitive impairment, unable to understand the content of the assessment scales; 7. Local use of corticosteroid injections or oral intake within the past 6 months, or other treatments that may directly affect the ultrasonic morphology of the plantar fascia (such as extracorporeal shock wave therapy, acupuncture, etc.).
