Menthol Group:During intubation, first instill 100 ml of 0.8% menthol solution.
Water Group:During intubation, first instill 100 ml of Normal Saline.

18 Years to 80 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-80 years; 2. Have indications for colonoscopy screening, surveillance, or diagnosis; 3. Outpatients or inpatients who have the capacity and agree to provide informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with known severe intestinal stenosis that makes intubation difficult; 2. Patients who have not undergone bowel preparation or whose preparation is inadequate; 3. Allergy to menthol; 4. Patients for whom intubation to the ileocecal valve is not required; 5. Patients with known adenomas or polyps; 6. Patients with a history of colorectal resection surgery; 7. Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 8. Patients with severe coagulation disorders or hemodynamic instability; 9. Patients in poor general condition who cannot tolerate colonoscopy (American Society of Anesthesiologists [ASA] physical status classification of Grade III or above); 10. Patients who are unable to sign the informed consent form or who withdraw midway.
