Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) ICU patients; (2) Patients requiring indwelling urinary catheterization due to medical conditions; (3) Informed consent obtained from the patient (or from the family if the patient is unconscious).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with pre-existing indwelling urinary catheter at admission; (2) Diagnosed with urinary tract infection (UTI) or positive urine microbial test at admission; (3) Indwelling catheter duration <=2 days during current hospitalization; (4) Presence of perineal skin breakdown; (5) Severe psychiatric disorders or behavioral abnormalities affecting protocol compliance; (6) Concurrent participation in other clinical trials.
