Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The adolescent patients aged 9-14 years who completed treatment from 2018 to 2023 were retrospectively diagnosed with bony class II malocclusion (ANB angle>=5°, Wits value>=3mm), vertical growth type (SN-MP>=35°, FMA>=28°), were at the peak of growth and development (annual height growth >=5cm), and the imaging data before and after treatment were complete.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Congenital craniofacial deformities (e.g., cleft lip and palate); 2.History of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD); 3.Systemic bone metabolism disorders; 4.Previous orthodontic treatment history; 5.Poor treatment compliance (J-hook activator wear time <10 hours/day).
