Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Schizophrenia Families with Intergenerational Transmission:Offspring Requirements: (1) Aged between 16 and 45 years (inclusive);(2) Has one biological parent diagnosed with schizophrenia;(3) Diagnosed with schizophrenia following assessment using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV-TR Axis I Disorders, Research Version (SCID-I/P);(4) Capable of comprehending interview content and providing written informed consent.Parent Requirements: One parent diagnosed with schizophrenia, and the non-affected parent capable of comprehending interview content and providing written informed consent. 2. Schizophrenia Families without Intergenerational Transmission:Offspring Requirements:(1) Aged between 16 and 45 years (inclusive);(2) Has one biological parent diagnosed with schizophrenia;(3) Receives no psychiatric diagnosis following assessment using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV-TR Axis I Disorders, Research Version (SCID-I/P);(4) Capable of comprehending interview content and providing written informed consent. Parent Requirements: One parent diagnosed with schizophrenia, and the non-affected parent capable of comprehending interview content and providing written informed consent. 3. Healthy Control Group without Family Psychiatric History: Requirements:(1) Aged between 16 and 45 years (inclusive);(2) Negative family history of psychiatric disorders;(3) Receives no psychiatric diagnosis following assessment using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV-TR Axis I Disorders, Research Version (SCID-I/P);(4) Capable of comprehending interview content and providing written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Schizophrenia Families with Intergenerational Transmission:(1) Aside from the biological parent definitively diagnosed with schizophrenia, the other parent has a history of any of the following psychiatric disorders: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, intellectual disability (mental retardation), bipolar disorder, major depressive episode, or mental disorders due to epilepsy;(2) Participants have a history of organic brain diseases or epilepsy/seizure disorders;(3) Participants have a history of or currently suffer from severe physical illnesses;(4) Participants have severe cognitive impairment or other conditions deemed by investigators to render participation unsuitable. 2. Schizophrenia Families without Intergenerational Transmission:(1) Aside from the biological parent definitively diagnosed with schizophrenia, the other parent has a history of any of the following psychiatric disorders: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, intellectual disability (mental retardation), bipolar disorder, major depressive episode, or mental disorders due to epilepsy;(2) Participants have a history of organic brain diseases or epilepsy/seizure disorders;(3) Participants have a history of or currently suffer from severe physical illnesses;(4) Participants have severe cognitive impairment or other conditions deemed by investigators to render participation unsuitable. 3. Healthy Control Group:(1) Presence of chronic systemic diseases (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, autoimmune diseases);(2) History of alcohol or substance abuse/dependence (e.g., cannabis, cocaine, amphetamines);(3) History of psychotropic medication use (e.g., antidepressants, antipsychotics, sedatives);(4) Left-handedness; (5) Pregnancy or lactation;(6) Inability to cooperate with or complete study procedures (e.g., due to language barriers, insufficient education/cultural factors).
