Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age>=18 years old; 2. Except for severe caries or wisdom teeth, the number of teeth >= 15; 3. Patients diagnosed with stage III and IV periodontitis according to the new classification criteria for periodontal disease in 2018; 4.No use of antibiotics, steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or other drugs that may affect periodontal tissues, such as phenytoin, cyclosporine, calcium channel blockers (nifedipine) within 3 months; 5. No periodontal treatment within 3 months; 6. No history of smoking or quit smoking for more than 5 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with hypertension and diabetes; 2. Patients with systemic diseases who are routinely on medication; 3. Pregnant or lactating women; 4. Combined with chronic tonsillitis, chronic pharyngitis and other oral local inflammatory diseases; 5. Those who are unable to receive basic periodontal treatment due to systemic diseases; 6. Those with poor compliance or inability to follow up regularly; 7. Those who are unable to perform normal grooves due to obvious consciousness or intellectual disability.
