Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria for depression in the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th Edition (ICD-10); 2. Age 16-65 years; 3. Right-handed according to Oldfield's (1971) hand-to-hand questionnaire; 4. Voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent form; 5. No history of thyroid disease.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who have contraindications to ECT and rTMS treatment; 2. Those who have received ECT and rTMS treatment in the past 1 month; 3. Previous psychoactive substances 4. Those with a history of abuse; 5. Depressed authors with severe suicidal behavior; 6. Pregnant women; 7. Those who suffer from unstable physical diseases; 8. Those with pacemakers; 9. Those who have metal foreign bodies in the skull.
