Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Elderly patients (>=65 years) with sarcopenia undergoing elective laparoscopic radical resection for gastrointestinal tumors; 2.Normal preoperative MMSE scores (illiterate >=17, primary school >=20, junior high school and above >=24); 3.ASAII-III; 4.Operation time 3-4 hours; 5.BMI<24 kg/m^2;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Severe infection, respiratory failure, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary bullae, pneumothorax, uncontrolled asthma, moderate-to-severe emphysema, severe obstructive ventilatory dysfunction, previous lung surgery, severe cardiac disease (NYHA class III or IV), chronic kidney disease (creatinine >200), or abnormal liver function (Child-Pugh class B or C); 2.The patient has contraindications to PEEP application (right heart failure, elevated intracranial pressure, or hypovolemic shock; 3.History of cerebrovascular disease, including cerebral infarction, TIA (transient ischemic attack), cerebral arteriosclerosis, or severe carotid artery stenosis; 4.Patients with psychiatric disorders or language barriers impairing communication; 5.Missing CT imaging data or inability to obtain clear L3-level images; 6.Inability to obtain informed consent;
