Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age: 18-50 years old, right-handed, normal vision or corrected vision, BMI < 35; 2.It has typical symptoms of sciatica: segmentary radiating pain in the skin caused by compression of the L5 nerve root, with or without neurological defects; 3.MRI examination of the lumbar vertebrae revealed compression of the lumbar 5 nerve root; 4.The duration of the symptoms is no more than 12 months; 5.The pain intensity score before the experiment (or one week) was 4-8 points, excluding the values at both ends (0 points for no pain and 10 points for the most imaginable severe pain). 6.It is necessary to have a physical condition suitable for MRI scans, such as being able to lie flat in a narrow scanner and withstand the time and limitations of the scanning process;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Simultaneous compression of both L5 nerve roots or compression of nerve roots other than L5 nerve roots, or lumbar spinal stenosis; 2.Polyradiculopathy; 3.Spinal cord lesion; 4.Spondylolisthesis or scoliosis; 5.Other known diseases, such as spinal tumors, neurofibromas, hereditary neuropathy, metabolic diseases, fractures, infections, chronic inflammation and obvious/severe spinal deformities; 6.Spinal surgery or metal implants in the body have been performed recently (within the past year); 7.Hypertension, diabetes, severe psychological disorders or neuropsychiatric diseases; 8.It is required that no alcohol or medication (especially painkillers) be consumed 24 hours before the experiment. Vigorous physical activities are not allowed 48 hours before the experiment; 9.Those who fail to cooperate in completing the corresponding assessment and inspection and withdraw halfway; 10.There are contraindications for magnetic resonance imaging (such as: having unremovable devices like pacemakers, cochlear implants or other metal implants, claustrophobia, etc.);
