Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Establishment of artificial airway (endotracheal intubation or tracheostomy) on the day of admission. 2. Diagnosis of severe pneumonia requiring mechanical ventilation (MV) support. 3. Age between 18 and 90 years. 4. Intact skin condition at the electrode application site (no damage or infection). 5. Critical-Care Pain Observation Tool (CPOT) score = 1 (positive pain response). 6. No history of drug dependence. 7. Signed informed consent obtained from the participant and/or their legal guardian.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of an implanted pacemaker (to avoid interference from electrical stimulation). 2. Pregnancy (including suspected pregnancy). 3. Any medical history (e.g., sensory dysfunction, hemophilia, device allergy, etc.) that, in the investigator’s judgment, may interfere with the study results or increase patient risk.
