Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1: Patients presenting with clear indications for surgical intervention in cases of gastroesophageal reflux disease and hiatal hernia. 2: Receiving laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair and fundoplication (short-loose Nissen procedure). 3: Patient requiring surgery within a specified timeframe.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1: The surgical options for gastric fundoplication include the Toupet procedure (270-degree wrap) or the Dor procedure (180-degree wrap). 2: The pre-operative coexistence of gallbladder inflammation, gallstones, and cholangitis serves as the foundation for biliary system disorders. 3: The patient has a history of prior biliary surgery or gastrectomy. 4: Patients undergoing conservative treatment with internal medicine drugs, radiofrequency ablation, peroral endoscopic cardial constriction (PECC), medigus ultrasonic surgical endostapler (MUSE), or magnetic sphincter augmentation (MSA).
