Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ?Clinical Inclusion Criteria for Carious Teeth CBCT Data? CBCT examinations must be acquired between January 31, 2012, and January 31, 202745. Raw DICOM files without post-processing or modification. Carious lesions extending to the middle or deep dentin layer (excluding superficial enamel caries). 2. ?Inclusion Criteria for Extracted Carious Teeth? Teeth extracted between April 7, 2025, and January 31, 2027 for orthodontic reduction, impaction, or other clinical indications, with concurrent deep caries or caries-induced pulpitis. Availability of CBCT imaging data meeting the above technical specifications. Patient-signed informed consent forms prior to participation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ?1. Exclusion Criteria for Clinical Carious Teeth CBCT Data? Teeth with existing restorations (filled teeth). Presence of artifact interference from adjacent or opposing teeth with prosthetic materials. ?2. Exclusion Criteria for Extracted Carious Teeth? Teeth with full crowns or restorative fillings. Pulp calcification. Severe periodontal disease. Missing essential clinical parameters. Incomplete root apex development.
