Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age: 18–60 years; 2.The UC group consists of patients diagnosed with ulcerative colitis based on a comprehensive evaluation of clinical symptoms, imaging findings, endoscopic examination, and pathological manifestations; 3.Control group: Consists of healthy individuals.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Undergone major gastrointestinal surgery prior to enrollment [such as ileal/colonic diversion or J-pouch (ileoanal pouch) surgery]; 2.History of cancer, other autoimmune diseases aside from IBD, organ transplantation, or other severe gastrointestinal diseases; 3.Systemic metabolic disorders such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood lipids were not controlled within 6 months prior to enrollment; 4.Pregnant individuals; 5.Significant changes in dietary habits within 6 months prior to enrollment, such as starting a vegan diet; 6.Consumption of probiotics within the past 3 months;
