Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. GERC patients who underwent laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery in Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital between January 2016 and November 2023; 2. patients performed by the same surgeon; 3. patients all underwent 360° Nissen fundoplication; 4. age 18 to 75 years; 5. Cough that persists for more than 8 weeks and is ineffective or poorly responsive to medical therapy; 6. Cough numerical Rating Scale score >=3; 7. Patients who tend to have surgery and/or adverse effects of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), such as Barrett's esophagus, despite successful medical therapy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The patient has other respiratory diseases (such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, respiratory tract infection, etc.) or a clear cause of cough other than the above. 2. Long-term smokers. 3. Severe esophageal motility disorders, esophageal strictures and other anatomical lesions of the esophagus existed before surgery. 4. History of upper gastrointestinal or thoracic - lung surgery (except breast surgery). 5. The results of esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) are missing.
