Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Experimental group : 1. Age greater than 18 years old ; 2. AF was diagnosed by electrocardiogram or dynamic electrocardiogram ; 3. To be treated with catheter ablation ; 4. Left ventricular ejection fraction greater than 40 % ; 5. Subjects ( or the legal authorized representative of the subjects ) are able and willing to be included in this study. Control group : 1. Age greater than 18 years old ; 2. No history of AF ; 3. Left ventricular ejection fraction greater than 40 % ; 4. Patients with sinus rhythm and no abnormal cardiac structure ; 5. Subjects ( or the legal authorized representative of the subjects ) are able and willing to be included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients in the experimental group and the control group who met any of the following exclusion criteria were excluded : 1. Primary mitral valve structural diseases : including rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease, mitral valve prolapse, etc. 2. postoperative patients with valvular heart disease ; 3. Patients with functional mitral regurgitation caused by left ventricular disease : posterior wall myocardial infarction, ischemic cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, etc. 4. Pacemaker dependent patients after cardiac pacemaker implantation ; 5. Combined with other serious chronic diseases, such as liver and kidney dysfunction and endocrine diseases ; patients with poor ultrasound image quality and unable to carry out relevant quantitative analysis ; 7. Patients who refused to follow-up ; 8. The subjects were included in other clinical studies, which may introduce bias to the results of this study.
