Gold Standard:The 2019 Asian Sarcopenia Working Group (AWGS) recommended DXA for the diagnosis of sarcopenia using a height adjusted appendical skeletal muscle mass (ASMM) calculation, with a cut-off
Index test:The main variables measured by ultrasound are MT, FL and PA.

60 Years to 120 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients >= 60 years old; 2. Patients willing to accept and able to perform DXA, grip strength, physical function (SPPB, 6m pace, 5 sit-up tests), calf circumference and ultrasound examination; 3. Agree to be enrolled and sign the informed consent for this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe liver disease (Child-pugh grade C) and kidney disease (eGFR < 30ml/min); 2. Patients with malnutrition as a result of any surgery; 3. Patients with severe cognitive impairment or poorly controlled mental illness who are unable to cooperate with the examination; 4.Patients with acute infection or various diseases that have not been controlled and whose hemodynamics are unstable; 5. people with known cancer; 6.Patients with visible peripheral edema, or patients with cardiopulmonary insufficiency, carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, hand trauma, severe hip or knee osteoarthritis, or other reasons that prevent them from completing grip strength and walking tests, or patients with limb disabilities.
