Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients were confirmed by surgery, imaging, or histopathology as having advanced OA, and were independently reviewed by two board-certified orthopedic/rheumatology physicians to confirm the diagnosis of advanced OA. Patients who had undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery were included as the control group of healthy individuals.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: If diagnosed with other types of musculoskeletal diseases, such as osteomyelitis and peripheral nerve injury, or other types of injuries to the musculoskeletal system; having a history of other types of joint diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, and traumatic arthritis; having a history of anterior cruciate ligament resection; having a history of knee trauma; having a history of other rheumatological and immunological diseases such as ankylosing spondylitis, scleroderma, and Sjogren's syndrome; having a history of previous treatment with radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and other immunotherapies; refusal to sign an informed consent form; abnormal liver and kidney function; a history of neurological diseases,
