Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1: Full-term (more than 37 weeks' gestation) singleton pregnancies with elective cesarean section under spinal anesthesia; 2: ASA II-III; 3: BMI >=30kg/m^2; 4: Acquire informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1: aged under 18 years old; 2: Vaginal delivery; 3: Contraindications to neuraxial anesthesia (coagulopathy, increased intracranial pressure, local skin infection at the puncture site); 4: Severe spinal deformity; 5: History of spinal surgery; 6: preeclampsia; 7: Allergy to local anesthetics (lidocaine or bupivacaine).
