Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Cerebral infarction group inclusion criteria: 1) age >= 18 years old; 2) occurrence of anterior circulation ischemic stroke within 7 days before enrollment; 3) meet the diagnostic criteria of Chinese guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of acute ischemic stroke, and confirmed by head CT or/and MRI examination; 4) Large artery atherosclerosis according to TOAST classification; 5) presence of at least one atherosclerotic plaque in one ICA consistent with stroke, regardless of the degree of stenosis. 2.The stable group met the following criteria: 1) age >= 18 years; 2) no previous history of ischemic cardiovascular disease; 3) presence of at least one atherosclerotic plaque in one ICA regardless of the degree of stenosis. 3.The healthy control group consisted of healthy adults.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Exclusion criteria: 1) cardioembolic, lacunar, or abnormal stroke etiology according to the TOAST criteria; 2) presence of hemodynamic stroke; 3) previous carotid artery surgery or stenting; 4) comorbidities affecting life expectancy less than 1 year; 5) complicated with infection during blood collection; 6) Unable to cooperate with the blood test and carotid ultrasound examination due to other reasons.
