Esophageal cancer

Interventions

Trial group:The application of a sternum retractor for traction and fixation of the lower segment of the sternum during pneumomediastinoscopic esophagectomy for esophageal cancer.
Control group:In the mediastinoscopic esophagectomy for esophageal cancer,the traditional surgical method is used without employing a sternum retractor to elevate the lower part of the sternum.

18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients who have been pathologically diagnosed with esophageal cancer; 2 The surgical approach involves pneumomediastinoscopy combined with laparoscopy; 3 Patients with a normal sternum anatomy and no contraindications for the use of a sternum retractor(such as sternum deformity or severe osteoporosis); 4 Patients who have provided informed consent and voluntarily agree to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications for the use of a sternum retractor exist(such as a history of sternum fracture or sternum infection).
