40 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects aged 40-65 years old; 2.The fasting blood glucose is >=7.0 mmol/L, or the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose is>=11.1mmol/L; 3.Regular physical examination and laboratory tests show normal renal and liver function and acceptable lipid profile; 4.Regular cigarette smoking for at least 10 years on average 10 cigarettes or more/day during the preceding year; 5.For patients in the group of smoking cessation, they should meet the criteria mentioned above for cigarette smoking and agree to stop smoking for at least 90 days; 6.Voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Body mass index>=30kg/m^2; 2.Blood pressure>=140/90; 3.Fasting serum triglyceride >=400mg/dl; 4.Take statin within 3 months preceding blood sampling; 5.Those with severe heart, liver, kidney or thyroid diseases, severe infections, as well as stress conditions such as tumors, trauma, surgery and burns; 6.Any concomitant illness or mental condition that could interfere with the study.
