Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Test 2: Single rooted tooth to be extracted for orthodontic reasons; root intact; apical foramen closed; root surface free of caries; no cracks; Test 3: Mandibular incisors to be extracted due to chronic periodontitis and chronic apical periodontitis; roots intact; root surfaces free of caries; no cracks; Test 4: Mandibular incisors to be extracted due to chronic periodontitis and chronic apical periodontitis; roots intact; root surfaces free of caries; no cracks; Test 5: Patients aged 18-60 years with only one affected tooth in the mouth requiring root canal treatment; the affected tooth was diagnosed with chronic apical periodontitis or chronic pulpitis; the affected tooth was a permanent tooth with a formed apical foramen and no root canal atresia; and the affected tooth did not undergo root canal treatment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Test 2: The tooth had undergone endodontic treatment; apical radiographs showed root canal variations; and external apical resorption. Test 3: tooth had endodontic treatment; apical foramen was not closed; internal and external root canal resorption; apical radiograph showed double root canals or root canal variations; root canal curvature greater than or equal to 10 degrees. Test 4: The tooth has undergone endodontic treatment; the apical foramen is not closed; the root canals are resorbed internally and externally; the apical radiograph shows double root canals or root canal variations; and the root canals are curved by more than or equal to 10 degrees. Test 5: The patient has a severe systemic or systemic disease; the female patient is pregnant or breastfeeding; the affected tooth has too little periodontal supporting tissues, the crown-root ratio is =1:1 or the alveolar bone resorption is up to the apical 1/3; the periodontal lesion of the affected tooth is penetrating the periapical lesion; the affected tooth is a third molar.
