Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Schizophrenia patients: 1.With the approval of the Ethics Committee of Shandong Mental Health Center, all participants (patients' families) signed informed consent forms; 2.Inclusion criteria: 20 first-episode schizophrenia patients who meet the DSM-V diagnostic criteria and have not taken antipsychotic drugs, with no restriction on gender, aged 18-60 years; 3.Symptom assessment: Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) score >=60, Clinical Global Impressions Scale (CGI) score >= 4; 4.Patients' blood lipids, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, etc., are all within normal ranges. Healthy controls: 1.No history of physical illness. 2.Aged 18-60, any gender, with a university degree or below. 3.Selected individuals have normal blood lipids, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. 4.No history of mental illness or family history of mental illness. Diagnosed with no mental illness through the Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Schizophrenia patients: 1.History of substance dependence, or psychotic symptoms caused by other mental disorders; 2.History of traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, or other organic brain diseases; 3.Individuals with suicidal attempts, suicidal ideation, or suicidal behavior; 4.History of alcohol abuse or substance abuse in the past year; 5.Pregnant or lactating patients; 6.Major physical illnesses such as cardiovascular diseases, liver or kidney dysfunction, etc. Healthy controls: 1.Individuals with metabolic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, etc.; 2.Individuals with physical illnesses, neurological disorders, cerebrovascular diseases; 3.Pregnant or lactating individuals.
