Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Case selection: About 120 patients with heart failure were diagnosed in the outpatient and cardiology departments of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, and there were 30 patients in each group, aged between 55 and 75 years, according to the classification of heart failure patients (NYHA class IV, NYHA class III., NYHA class II., and NYHA class I). Diagnosis of heart failure is based on: ESC European guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic heart failure, 2021. Healthy Controls: A total of 30 healthy people aged 55-75 years were selected in the community.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Case selection: 1. History of antibiotic use within three months; 2. Long-term use of steroid hormones, contraceptives, and thyroid hormones; 3. Diabetes, obesity, liver and kidney diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, rheumatic connective tissue diseases; 4. Hypothyroidism; 5. Adrenal hyperfunction; 6. Acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases; 7. Other drugs for cardiovascular diseases; 8. Patients who refuse to participate halfway. Healthy Controls: History of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, and those with gastrointestinal diseases or gastrointestinal surgery.
