Group POC:Oral administration of a carbohydrate beverage 2 hours before surgery, consisting of a carbohydrate solution with an energy content of 50 kcal/100 mL, with a total volume of 400 mL.
Group NPO:The standard preoperative fasting protocol

18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged 18 to 65 years, regardless of gender;Diagnosed with metabolic syndrome according to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) criteria;Meeting the indications for bariatric surgery, and scheduled to undergo sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass surgery;Signed informed consent and willing to participate in the study and follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of preoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction (e.g., gastroparesis, intestinal obstruction);Severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic, or renal dysfunction;Preoperative malnutrition (BMI < 18.5 kg/m^2);Allergy to carbohydrate preparations;Pregnant or lactating women;Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of diabetes.
