Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Primary school students aged 6-9 years; 2) Chinese; 3) Have relevant information and medical records related to the diagnosis of autism; 4) Informed consent of guardians and children.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Dental prophylaxis in the past 6 months; 2) The child is on antibiotic or anti-inflammatory therapy; 3) The child has other medical conditions known to affect the severity of dental caries or periodontal disease, such as Down syndrome and Diabetes; 4) Children are unable to cooperate with the experiment due to personal diseases.
