Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient inclusion criteria: 1. Adolescents aged 13–19 years; 2. Scheduled for their first Modified Electroconvulsive Therapy (MECT) treatment. 3. Normal intelligence levels with the ability to express themselves. 4. Consent obtained from both the patient and the legal guardian. For adolescents under 18 years of age, informed consent is provided by the legal guardian. Inclusion criteria for caregivers: 1. The accompanying person is a 13-19 year old adolescent with mental disorders who is planning to receive MECT treatment for the first time; 2. The primary caregiver for the patient during hospitalization; 3. Individuals with a normal level of intelligence and the ability to express themselves; 4. Agree and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for patients: 1.Exclusion criteria for patients: Those who are unable to complete or refuse to participate in the assessment for reasons other than the study requirements. Exclusion criteria for caregivers: 1. The primary caregiver in non patient life; 2. Formal caregivers with employment relationships, such as caregivers, nannies, etc; 3. Existence of visual and auditory impairments, past or current mental or cognitive impairments.
