Group R:After completion of tracheal intubation, intravenous pumping of remazolam was started until the end of anesthesia.
Group P:After completion of tracheal intubation, intravenous pumping of propofol was started until the end of anesthesia.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children 6-24 months of age, ASA Class I-II, who are to undergo elective cleft palate repair surgery at our institution.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: refusal by the legal guardian; the child's allergy to propofol or remazolam; the child has combined hematologic disorders, coagulation abnormalities, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency; difficult airway; severe cardiopulmonary disorders; mental retardation; and other reasons requiring the child to be sent to the ICU for ventilatory support.
