Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study presents partial edentulous patients for single dental implant treatment utilizing an automatic robotic surgical system and a static guided approach respectively. Inclusion criteria: adults (=18); implant sites have bone height >9 mm and bone width >5 mm; delayed implant; good physical and oral hygiene prior to therapy; mouth opening at least 30 mm; satisfactory soft tissue condition and occlusion suitable for implant prosthesis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: immediate implant; bone augmentation procedures, uncontrolled diabetes (HBA1c = 7.5%), heavy smokers (>10 cigarettes/day), alcoholism or chronic drug abuse, immunosuppression, history of bisphosphonate use, local radiation therapy within the last 5 years and uncontrolled local oral infections, epilepsy or mental illness, inability to co-operate with surgery.
