Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study recruited male participants aged 18-24 years old, with a BMI ranging from 18.5 to 24.0; they had no regular exercise training habits in the previous six months (less than or equal to 2 times per week); they did not take protein powder, protein beverages, or vitamin supplements, nor hormone drugs in the three months prior to the study; and they had no bad living habits such as smoking or excessive drinking. Daily protein intake is in the range of 0.8-1.0 g/kg/d. The reason for excluding females is that there are significant differences in physiological structure and hormone levels between men and women. The body fat percentage of women is usually higher than that of men, and under the influence of the periodic fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone, the mechanisms of muscle growth and protein metabolism are different from those of men. Such differences can interfere with the experimental results and make it difficult to precisely analyze the effects of dietary protein management combined with protein supplementation on protein metabolism and exercise performance after resistance training. Selecting only male participants can effectively control this variable.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those with clear contraindications for exercise or other diseases that affect the exercise plan, and those who are adherents to a vegetarian diet.
