Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for CAI subjects: There was at least one acute ankle sprain, and the sprain caused corresponding swelling, pain or loss of function, etc. There have been at least two instances of ankle instability (softening) in the past half year. The IdFAI scale score is >10 and the CAIT score is =24. Furthermore, it is required that the dominant side of all subjects be the right side and the sprained side. The dominant side of the lower limb is determined by the kicking method. The ball is placed in front of the subject, and the subject kicks the ball out voluntarily. The side that the subject kicks subconsciously is the dominant side. For CAI with bilateral sprains, subjects with more episodes of right ankle instability and poorer IdFAI and CAIT scores were included. All the subjects had no cardiovascular diseases, other muscle injuries of the lower extremities, metal implants in the body and other contraindications for lower extremity strength tests and transcranial direct current stimulation, and had not received foot core exercise.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Mechanical instability; 2) There are other sports injuries; 3) MRI contraindications.
