Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Northern Han Chinese; identify patients with a predicted incidence of perioperative stroke (PS) >=1% according to clinical data-based PS prediction models, such as the Stroke after Surgery tool or the Mobile web-based, cardiac, stroke mortality risk model; and select patients undergoing elective surgery with an expected anesthesia and surgery duration of >=2 hours.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Oral mucosal ulcer; tumors of the oral cavity, pharynx, and tongue, etc.; individuals with a tendency to bleed or for whom collecting oral mucosal specimens may result in bleeding; those unable to cooperate with the collection of oral mucosal exfoliated cells (such as those with concurrent mental illness or cognitive impairment); individuals who have participated in clinical trials within the past month; minors, pregnant and lactating women; patients with other conditions deemed unsuitable for inclusion by the investigator.
