Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for nursing institutions: 1. Stable operation >= 1 year; 2. Sufficient space within the institution and caregivers able to carry out seated Ba Duan Jin group exercise; 3. Informed consent and voluntary participation in this study. Inclusion criteria for caregivers: 1. Engaged in elderly care service for 1 year or more; 2. Junior high school education or above;3.Age >= 18 years; 4. Informed consent and voluntary participation in this study. Inclusion criteria for the frail older adults: 1. Age >= 60 years; 2. FRAIL-NH scale score >= 2; 3. Consciousness and expression; 4. Informed consent and voluntary participation in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Debilitated frail older adults exclusion criteria: (i) Those in emergency surgery, sudden trauma or sudden onset of chronic diseases; (ii) Those who are also participating in other exercise intervention trials; (iii) Those who are intolerant to exercise (e.g., suffering from severe systemic diseases of the liver, kidneys, heart, brain, and blood) or those who have contraindications to activity (e.g., unstable fracture, pelvic fracture.).
