Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria for sepsis (refer to the 2021 diagnostic criteria for sepsis) without respiratory failure (oxygenation index >=300); 2. Age > 18 years to be eligible to be a study subject; 3. No contraindications to electrical stimulation; 4. No mechanical ventilation prior to inclusion in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Chest drainage, coma can not cooperate; 2. Pregnancy, diaphragmatic malformation; 3. Abdominal surgery in the past month; 4. Use of sedatives, neuromuscular blocking agents; 5. Pneumothorax, non-align fracture of ribs; 6. Active tuberculosis; 7. Those who have metal inside, fixed or installed pacemaker in the chest; 8. Non-removable wrap on the right chest wall.
