Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Phase 1 a: 1.Articles published from years 2005 to 2023 reporting adolescent psychological stress. In addition, the adolescent samples aged from 13 to 18 years. The main reporting area is: mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. 2.Types of studies: a cross-sectional study 3.Outcomes: the primary outcome was Chinese adolescent exist common psychological stress, especially academic stress. Phase I b: 1.Population: Individuals suffering from psychological stress 2.Intervention: the experiment group received a HIIT exercise 3.Comparison: The control group had no exercise intervention 4.Outcomes: psychological stress symptom-related scale will be used, and its score used as the study outcome 5.Study design: RCTs Phase I c: 1.Chinese secondary school students 2.Location: Nan Hang secondary school Phase II: 1.Experts with specialized knowledge and have more than five years of experience in athletic training 2.Experts with specialized knowledge and have more than five years of experience in psychology 3.PE teachers which have more than five years of experience Phase III: 1.Students from Jiang Su province China 2.Students aged 13-15. 3.Students verified by DASS-21 as suffering from psychological stress (Stress score> 8).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Phase 1 a: 1.Studies after a special event such as an earthquake, or COVID-19 will be excluded. 2.Reports, conference papers, commentaries, editorials, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, clinical studies, and studies that are still in the formative phase will be excluded from this study. 3.Studies not written in English. Phase I b: 1.Any identified physical or anxiety and depression symptoms 2.Use of combined interventions, lack of description of the HIIT in the intervention design 3.Lack of a control group or control interventions 4.Psychological stress scores not evaluated pre- and post-intervention, Data could not be extracted 5.Not RCTS Phase I c: 1.Physically disabled. 2.Students suffering from mental illness. Phase II:None Phase III: 1. Adolescents who cannot participate in physical activities, such as a physical disability or an illness that prevents the students from participating in sports. 2. Adolescents with mental illness. Based on the student's enrollment physical examination report and parent report, we will exclude the students who are suffering mental illness.
