Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. First time undergoing thyroid surgery with no history of other neck related surgeries; 2. The surgical procedure is total thyroidectomy (the surgical scope may include central lymph node dissection and lateral neck lymph node dissection); 3. Preoperative parathyroid hormone and blood calcium levels were normal.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Concurrent parathyroid related diseases; 2. Diseases that affect blood calcium metabolism, such as liver and kidney dysfunction; 3. Incomplete clinical data; 4 patients under the age of 18.
